Linda Louise Simmons McIntosh

August 19, 1942 – January 19, 2024
Obituary of Linda Louise Simmons McIntosh
IN THE CARE OF

Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park, Mortuary & Crematory

The world lost an amazing woman this past week! My sister, Linda Louise Simmons McIntosh, is now at peace and in fishing heaven. After an amazing career in Hawaiian real estate, Lin traveled the world, mostly solo, experiencing all the world had to offer. She helped build a school in Africa, while in the Peace Corps she worked on a water project to bring water to the villages in Kenya, saw the gorillas in Rwanda, walked the Camino in Spain and research on the ancestry of the Simmons family took her to Europe to find and witness the birthplace of many of our ancestors! Lin was an awesome sister, great advisor, and the ultimate adventurer. Big game fishing was her favorite sport which she introduced me to at an early age and we fished together around the world. Love you Lin! Aloha and “tight lines” forever!

Linda Louise Simmons Mcintosh of Westlake Village, California passed away peacefully on January 19th, 2024 at the age of 81. She was born on August 19, 1942 in Avenal, California. She grew up in Taft, California and graduated from Taft Union High School. She also graduated from Taft College with an AA degree.

Lin had a successful 45-year career in Hawaiian Real Estate. After retirement she volunteered into the Peace Corps and served in Kenya educating Kenyan families on how to develop businesses to provide for themselves and on a water conservation project to bring water to the remote villages. She also participated in building a school in Kenya for children of the Genocide.

Lin was an accomplished Scuba Diver and Big Game Fisherperson. Marlin Fishing was her passion with world class catches in Hawaii, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, and The Great Barrier Reef.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clivette Juanita Simmons and Frank Earl Simmons

She is survived by her brother, Edward Earl Simmons
