Louis was born on January 26, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, to Sally and Louis Diblosi Sr. He was the youngest of three children and grew up alongside his two older sisters, Joan and Marietta, in a family-oriented neighborhood near Dyker Park. As a boy, he enjoyed playing sandlot baseball and was a devoted fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers.
A bright and driven student, Louis graduated from high school at just 16 years old before continuing his education at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 1965, setting the foundation for a life marked by hard work and determination. Louis’ experience and foundation in the logistics industry began when he started driving trucks while attending college. He also began his professional career through on-the-job training at General Motors Truck and Coach in Flint, Michigan, where he worked as a manager on the transmission assembly line.
On June 8, 1967, Louis answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. During the Vietnam War, he served honorably as a Personnel Management Specialist and was honorably discharged in June 1972.
Following his experience in the Army and at General Motors, Louis realized that working for another entity was not the path he wanted. Determined to be his own boss, he embarked on an entrepreneurial journey that would span the next 50 years, during which he founded and operated several small businesses.
In 1983, Louis founded LMD Integrated Logistic Services, where he served as Chief Executive Officer until his passing. Under his leadership, the company grew into a network of distribution and transportation hubs throughout the entire United States to service the global logistics industry.
Louis and his wife, Michelle, shared 29 wonderful years of marriage. He enjoyed golfing, attending sporting events—especially Angels baseball games—spending quality time with family and friends, cheering for the San Francisco 49ers, and trying his luck at the Blackjack tables in Las Vegas.
Louis will be remembered for his strong values, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle; his five children, Tanya Diblosi-McCartney, John Diblosi, Louis Diblosi III, Victoria Snyder, and Robert Spilabotte; and his six grandchildren along with extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.
