Marjorie was born Marjorie Ledora Carlone on December 15, 1925 in Springfield, Massachusetts.
She was the only child of renowned composer, pianist and big band leader, Frankie Carle (Carlone) and Edith Carle (Carlone)
“Margie”, a talented vocalist, made her debut at age 17 when she began singing with the Frankie Carle Orchestra.
She recorded several songs that became popular, including a tune written by Frankie Carle, entitled “Oh What It Seemed to Be” that topped the charts for several weeks.
The Carle family moved to the San Fernando Valley in the late 40’s and settled in Tarzana.
Margie was also a successful realtor in the San Fernando Valley for many years; often outselling the men in her office. An avid tennis player for several decades, Margie was a member of Braemar Country Club In Tarzana and several other tennis clubs during her time in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Margie is survived by her daughter SUSAN ZIMMERMAN , and husband Mark, her granddaughter Veronica Zimmerman-Tzafrir (Ben) and Also, her son, Richard Douce (Jeri).
Margie now rests in the arms of Jesus.
