Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, November 30, 2012, at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary, 6001 W. Centinela Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90045. Reverend Ron Beams will be officiating. Military honors will be provided.
Born April 3, 1923, he was the son of Samuel and Goldie Keefer.
Martin enlisted in the Navy prior to World War II and was at Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941. After his discharge from the Navy, he worked for the United States Postal Service for over 25 years before his retirement. He then worked at Litton Industries for a number of years. Martin was an avid traveller, visiting each continent. He took multiple cruises and adventures including an African Safari.
Martin was known for his good sense of humor, gentle disposition, and willingness to help others when needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers William and Jay Keefer.
Survivors include Nephews and their wives Ryan and Phyllis Keefer of Santa Clarita, CA, Steve and Kathy Keefer of Irvine, CA, and nephew, William Keefer of San Luis Obispo, CA. Also, one sister-in-law, Mary Keefer of Agoura Hills, CA. He had numerous great nephews and nieces.
