It is with profound sadness that the Heidari family announces the passing of Mohammad Heidari on August 7, 2026, just weeks before his 89th birthday. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, engineer, researcher, author, and lifelong advocate for education whose influence will continue through the family he cherished and the professional work to which he devoted so much of his life.
Mohammad was born on August 29, 1937, in Kermanshah, Iran. From an early age, education and intellectual curiosity were central to his life. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness from Tehran University and later continued his graduate education in Germany, where he obtained his master's degree.
An accomplished agricultural engineer and researcher, Mohammad became known for his work in organic cultivation and agricultural production involving rice, wheat, and cotton in Iran. He devoted years to research, writing, and advancing knowledge in these fields, and authored books relating to his areas of expertise. His professional life reflected the same qualities that defined him personally: discipline, curiosity, persistence, and an enduring belief that knowledge should be used to improve the lives of others.
For all of his professional accomplishments, however, Mohammad's greatest source of pride was his family. He shared 58 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Shahla Tabibzadeh. Together they built a family grounded in love, generosity, responsibility, and an unwavering commitment to education.
He was a devoted father to Sasan, Neda, and Saman. Mohammad consistently taught his children that education should be a first priority in life, and he worked tirelessly to provide each of them with the best educational opportunities possible. He believed deeply that learning created independence, opportunity, and a foundation for future generations.
Mohammad was also an exceptional grandfather. He took enormous joy in caring for his grandchildren and being actively involved in their lives. His grandchildren - Dorsa, Golsa, Nursa, Adrian, and Liana - were among his greatest joys. He gave them his time, attention, guidance, and affection, and encouraged them to pursue education, remain active, and make the most of every opportunity available to them.
He loved sports and remained active throughout his life. Those who knew him will remember his generosity, intelligence, energy, devotion to family, and the seriousness with which he approached education and responsibility. He was a man who gave generously of himself - through his work, through his guidance, and most importantly, through the care he gave his family.
Mohammad is survived by his wife, Shahla Tabibzadeh; his children, Sasan, Neda, and Saman; his daughter-in-law, Niloufar Fakhrachi; and his grandchildren, Dorsa, Golsa, Nursa, Adrian, and Liana, along with extended family members, friends, colleagues, and others whose lives he touched over the course of his remarkable life.
His knowledge lives on through his work and writings. His values live on through his children. His love, guidance, and devotion will continue through his grandchildren and the generations that follow.
The Heidari family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, friendship, condolences, and support shown during this difficult time. Mohammad Heidari will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In Loving Memory
