Molly was born December 2, 1951 in Boston, Massachusetts and was adopted by Tom and Anabel McNamara. When still a child, Molly, her brother Mike and their Mom and Dad moved to California and settled in Woodland Hills, later moving to Calabasas, the same home in which she would spend the last years of her life.
In 1989, Molly met Steve Chiszar by “accident.” After a wreck, her car was towed to his shop, but the car could not be fixed. At the time, because of break-ins in the yard, Steve removed the radio from Molly’s car, telling her that when she needed to have it reinstalled, she could bring it back and he would do it at no charge.
Six months later, Molly returned with the car, asking Steve to reinstall the radio. Steve did the job and Molly tried to tip Steve $20. Steve refused but Molly insisted, so Steve told her, “You can’t tip me, but you can take me to lunch.”
So Molly took Steve out for lunch at Henri’s Café on Canoga Avenue. That ignited a spark. They dated, fell in love, and about a year later, on June 8, 1991, they were married.
Molly was a faithful employee of Kaiser Permanente for over 15 years and loved her job and the people she worked with. She also loved camping, boating, music, and a glass of wine every now and then.
She passed away March 16, 2010. She leaves behind many, many loving family and friends who will dearly miss her.
In lieu of flowers, there will be a "Run For Cancer" Run in August 2010. Details of this event will be announced at the reception.
