Mrs. Nancy O’Halloran Bush will be remembered by all us for her unconditional love and generosity. She gave of herself without limits to her husband, family, friends and faith with no expectations from anybody of what she would receive in return. She was the first to hug you and the last to let go. The best way to say it….. Nancy truly loved to love.
She lived “simply,” finding joy in tending to the abundant flowers she planted in her backyard, hummingbirds flitting, lounging in her pool, and reading novels. Her favorite weekend morning was sitting on her porch, doing her word puzzle from the morning paper, and sneaking her cat Chester a couple bites from her plate. She loved to dance, light candles, take bubble baths, eat gourmet pasta and sip chardonnay……simple pleasures.
Family was always a huge priority in Nancy’s life. After relocating to California from Las Vegas 10 years ago, Nancy’s deep bond with her family was kept strong via daily emails, phone calls, and regular trips across the desert to visit. She had a particularly special gift of playfulness with her grandchildren, nieces, nephew, and cousins, who were always excited to see her.
Nancy’s faith in God always carried her through the good times and the bad. She was particularly drawn to the teachings of Saint Jude, of which his prayer was written on a card that she always carried with her. She praised the Lord for His gifts and she asked for His will each day.
Of Nancy's many accomplishments in her lifetime, one stands out clearly as a personal success. She spent many years writing a fiction novel called 'Damaged Innocence,' published in 2009. She enjoyed the many hours it took to write each character and each storyline, many of which were reminiscent of her family and her own life. Seeing the book in completed draft print and, with the encouragement of her loving husband Bill, it was published and available on most online booksellers’ websites. Nancy had a gift of writing and enjoyed completing this novel.
Nancy O’Halloran was born on May 24, 1949 in Marcelline, Missouri. She was the daughter of J.B. O’Halloran and Alfrieda (Tootie) O’Halloran, and the oldest of 6 siblings. Her five brothers are Rick, Bill, John, Tom, and David (deceased). In June 1998, she married her true love, Bill Bush, with whom she has spent 12 blissful years. She is survived by her husband, family, and stepchildren Ken & Kira.
Nancy, your spirit of love and giving will be carried in our hearts always.
