He attended St. Bernardine of Siena Catholic School and Crespi Carmelite High School. He graduated from El Camino Real High School, before attending junior college. After taking time off, he returned to Pierce College and later earned his Bachelor’s degree in photojournalism from California State University, Northridge.
Paul was blessed with deep friendships from childhood that he sustained throughout his life. He was thoughtful and kind, and could be counted on to remember birthdays and anniversaries and make newcomers feel welcome in his tight-knit group. He was a huge fan of the Los Angeles Kings and the Dave Matthews Band.
Travel was a big part of Kingsley family life. Paul visited at least 21 countries and 15 states. He especially loved Australia and spent several years planning his month-long 2006 trip. Like his father, Paul had a passion for photography and took wonderful candid, landscape and lifestyle photographs. His travel blog, “Ventured Away,” offers a glimpse of his travels and photography. He ultimately had a job at Viking Cruises and looked forward to earning travel discounts to see the rest of the world.
His dimpled smile and contagious laughter lit up our lives. Our world is truly dimmer because his light was extinguished far too soon.
He is preceded in death by his beloved father John, and his grandmothers Daisy Kingsley and Concepcion Climaco. Paul will be greatly missed by his mother Consuelo “Connie” (Climaco) Kingsley, his sisters Karen DiNatale (husband Mark DiNatale), Johanna Young (husband Chris Young), and brother Scott (wife Sarah Williams Kingsley). Uncle Paul the Great will be lovingly remembered by niece Kate Young, and nephews Nicholas and Noah DiNatale, Charlie Kingsley, and Jack Young. Paul will also be forever remembered by his large extended family and dear friends.
