Pete was born in 1947 in Toledo, Ohio. His family moved to Southern California when he was a teenager.
He grew up in the Valley and attended Pierce College and San Fernando Valley State College (now CSUN) where he graduated with a degree in Political Science. He met our mom, Jean at CSUN, and Keith and Julia followed. Dad moved his family to Simi Valley to raise the kids and be closer to Jean’s family.
Dad was a dedicated provider to his family. Dad taught us the importance of work ethic, and the value of a good education. He enjoyed his work in the gasoline industry, sports (ESPN on constant stream), James Bond movies, Corvettes, and Pepsi. He was horribly politically incorrect, liked to crack bad jokes, and could sometimes be crusty on the outside, but he loved his kids and grandkids above all else, and took great joy in supporting their educational pursuits.
He is survived by his son Keith (daughter in law Lindsay) and their 4 beautiful children; and his daughter Julia (deceased son in law Tim) and their 2 teenage sons.
Rest in Peace Dad. We love you.
You know Dad, so you know he would prefer money instead of flowers. Please consider making a donation in Dad’s memory to one of the causes he liked: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute.
