Ramin you will be dearly missed by the Shmotolokha family. My brother Adrian, My mother Christine, my father Stephen, my wife Dania and my son Max. We will miss your incredible sense of humor. I will miss sharing memories of mischievous times spent concocting hair brained schemes. But I will always remember that you visited me in so many places around the world. Washington DC, Vienna and even in Beijing where even my parents didn't visit us while we were living there. You were worldly, wise, a great conversationalist, so good humored and interested in many things. We shared a love of carpets, in my case, central asian turkic carpets that you knew everything about. You saw them in Beijing. I will never forget our friendship, your voice and your presence. May you rest in peace my dear friend.

Dear family of Ramin,

Ramin’s business was located right next door to my restaurant. We got to know one another through his genuine kindness and spirit. It is difficult to explain how we had to share parking spaces and clients however, Ramin was and is the only business that helped make things flow easily because of His gentle spirit! After he became sick, he would just always talk in “the positive” conversation. He made me believe and hope that he was going to beat the cancer. He was very honest and transparent with all of his incidents however he always was convincing that everything would be ok. When he would text me “happy Mother’s Day” , “Happy Thanksgiving” “Happy New Year’s “. Or even a random text from France explaining how he met a mutual friend/customer, I knew how rare a friend I had. And how lucky I was to share a space with this beautiful gentle honest human being. I will miss you Ramin and I am so grateful for the time and conversations we shared. May God bless you and keep you in his care. xo
