I always loved going to Papa’s house—he would always play hide and go seek with me, no matter how tired he was. He constantly played various games with me, making sure I was content and was having fun. We would always play Monopoly for hours...hours and hours until one of us declared bankruptcy. I shared the most humorous and fun moments with Papa; ones that I will never forget for the rest of my life.
Papa would always put other’s needs before his own; he would stay up until two, sometimes three in the morning to help me with different homework assignments, and made sure I thoroughly understood the concept of the assignment. Throughout the 6th grade year, Papa helped me become a better writer—and later, through his teachings, helped me achieve the highest percent in my 7th grade Honors English class. I would have never been able to have the ability to reach such success without his influence. I am very thankful to have had those fun moments with him doing artistic projects, especially my L. Frank Baum pop up book and the kindergarten kite project.
Papa was always so content and hilarious—he and Miko would always make fun of each other in a humorous way which always made me laugh extremely hard….sometimes too hard. He always made me laugh and feel happy even when I was feeling down.
I love Papa very much, and miss him dearly. I couldn’t have asked for a better grandpa.
Love, Madeleine
