I only recently met Bob at the RC flying field but I feel like I've known him for years.  We actually grew up in the same subdivision as well. Bob instantly welcomed me and it was immediately obvious that he was a local favorite at the RC club. Bob was so nice and helpful as I was coming back to RC flying after a long layoff from the hobby.  He was excited about his retirement and we joked about how he was coming to the office (RC field) on an almost daily basis and we had a lot of fun and laughs. Bob will be missed by many for sure and my heart goes out to his family during this difficult time. I am thankful for the time I knew him.

I met Robert in 2002 in Oxnard at In n out. He was so kind and patient. I always asked questions about how things worked and the why’s, and he always answered me with compassion. I left the area and the company and came back last year, where I was pleasantly surprised to see Robert still working. We talked about life, his wife and just took a minute to catch up. It was a great moment for me, to have someone not only remember me, but actually care about how I have been doing. I was glad to hear that he was going to retire and all the things he was planning on doing with his wife. I’m so very sorry that he never got to bring the dream to reality. Sending his family lots of love during this difficult time.

Robert was a sweet man. I loved talking to him about Star Wars canyon and aviation. He is missed by many.
