Bob has been a wonderful neighbor and friend ever since the day we moved into our home. The day after our move in, our neighborhood was caught off guard by a monsoon storm with high winds and heavy rain. As our garage was full of moving boxes, Bob and other new neighbors were right there assisting our family securing items safe away from the rushing waters. On another occasion we watched with growing concern the flames from the Holy Fire were creeping closer to our neighborhood. Our band of neighbors took care of one another, watched each other's homes and assisted one another when it was time to evacuate. After the fire had safely passed, we gathered as neighborhood enjoying a BBQ, hosted by Sara and Paul, to celebrate the miracle that our homes survived the flames. 
As neighbors enjoyed several lively Halloween evenings over the years giving out candy together on our driveways, watching Sara and Paul spook teenage trick-or-treaters. Along with coming together for an outdoor open house and our band of neighbors counted down together to light up our homes for the Christmas season. As neighbors we all admired and enjoyed the live giant decorated Christmas tree Sara and Paul planted for every Christmas season. 
Bob was eager to share holiday baked confections and was an easy conversationalist. 
Bob was eager to assist with a quick household repair and would check on us after an earthquake to make sure we knew how to properly turn off the gas to house. 
Bob was the kind of friend and neighbor everyone should have. I wish everyone had the joy of knowing, living next to, and being friends with Bob. 
Like his t-shirt read "I'm Bob, doing Bob things."
Our family will miss Bob and are better for knowing and loving him.
