Ronald "Mr. Apple" Appel

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Ronald Appel. He passed away peacefully August 1, 2022. Ron moved to Thousand Oaks in 1977. He lived with his wife Jeannine for 72 years. They gave of their time and lives to better the lives of others by being foster parents to over 127 children. He was always helping others and he would do what he could if someone needed anything, also donating to many charities that supported children and families. Ron loved his many years working at Oak Park School as maintenance man. He was very touched by all who gave a special assembly for “Mr. Apple” when he retired. There will be a celebration of Ron’s life at Pierce Brothers Funeral Home, 5600 Lindero Canyon Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91362 on August 13. Viewing to be held at 1pm with the funeral at 2pm. Burial will be at 3pm for anyone that would like to participate in honoring his life.
