

He graduated from Don Bosco Technical High School in San Gabriel and continued his studies at California State University, Los Angeles where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
Ron worked as an engineer for various electronics firms in the Los Angeles area. The latest being Security Door Controls in Camarillo. His duties within the electronics industry ranged from Sales Manager to Applications Engineer, Field Application Engineer, and Project Engineer for the Viking Mars Lander Memory System. Ron also completed a two-year stint with the United States Army in the early 70’s, serving his duty time in Germany.
He married his beautiful bride, Dee Branscome, in 1977, and moved to Thousand Oaks. He enjoyed fast cars, especially Formula 1, 60’s music, and traveling to Hawaii, China, and Sweden. Ron loved his nieces and nephews and delighted in getting together with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dee, and by his parents, Louis and Ruth Bandur.
He is survived by his siblings Darrell Bandur, Cheryl Watson, Deborah Travis and by his many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all of Ron’s friends, doctors and caregivers for the care and compassion they showed our brother throughout his life, especially in the most recent months.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service. at Pierce Brother Valley Oaks Cemetery, Oak Knoll Garden area on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 2 p.m. A reception will follow the ceremony, with details provided at the end of the service.
