On Wednesday, May 18th I leave Ontario, CA on the 28th Annual Run for the Wall (Vietnam Veterans). This year I am the Midway Missing Man Coordinator and will carry Sgt. This is such sad news. Ryan was one of my good friends in high school, always made me laugh and was just a good person. I went on social media to find him and this was the news I found. It's been a long time since I've seen him hit this still hits me hard and makes me so sad. You were a great man Ryan and missed by many im sure.

To my beautiful son Ryan, I have been so blessed to have had a son as wonderful as you. I will hold all of my best memories of you tightly in my heart & your image will burn brightly in my mind forever. I hope your at peace & if there is any truth to seeing loved ones again. Morelock was not the first of my colleagues to pass away in the military, but that does not mean it is any less important to me. I will always remember Morelock talking to me when I was feeling down and providing a calming, down to earth sensibility to the Army. I cannot say I spent much time with him, but from what I experienced with him I can say that those moments I will never forget. Thank you.

You will be missed.. I remember the boys, you Deleon, Mitchell, Salas, Cambra, the rest of the s3 gang and those Saturday where y'all go to the other side of Hawaii and dive catch fish you will be missed brothee

I still remember the crazy time when we went to North Shore in Hawaii during high tide to get the best fishes Hawaii had to offer. Or the times I would cook and we would all play guitar hero. When I heard the news of your passing, my heart broke into a million pieces. I watched you grow and mature as a Soldier and a young man. You were one of my "go to guys" while you were assigned to 2-25 AVN. I pray that you have a peaceful rest my dear Ryan Morelock. I also pray for peace and strength for your family during this time of sorrow. You will truly be missed on this earth.
