Sandra Ann Fakhar of Oak Park, California passed away on Thursday, September 3rd, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born on January 18th, 1943, in Altadena, California, and grew up in Arcadia, California.
Sandra graduated from Cal State Long Beach and Cal State La in 1967. She went on to serve as a School Teacher at Ramona Middle School in La Verne, California, a vocation marked by steady dedication and a deep respect for the work of shaping young lives.
After retiring from teaching, Sandra became actively involved in the Carmelite Community in the Catholic Church, living her faith with quiet devotion and purpose. She also found joy and renewal in running, traveling, reading, and shopping—simple pleasures that reflected her energy, curiosity, and appreciation for life’s everyday moments.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Doris Koerner. She is survived by her Son Sean, Daughter, Shilo, and Grand Children Elijah, Scarlett, Rylah, Sophia, Indy and Syrus.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Saint Maximilian Kolbe in Thousand Oaks on September 18th at 1:00pm with Interment to follow at Pierce Brothers in Westlake Village.
