Sarah Garcia
Sarah “Sally” Garcia peacefully passed away this week. She was 95 years old.
Sally, aka “Toots” was a strong southern gal with personality. She crossed the country many times during the Great Depression with her parents, worked in Burbank sewing aircraft seats during WWII, married and raised her first child while her husband served in Pearl Harbor. Upon his return, she funneled her energy into the home. She was the strong woman behind the successful man. Sarah devoted her life to her husband of 65 years and their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Over the years, Sarah was active in the Canoga Park Emblem Club and enjoyed events sponsored by the Thousand Oaks Elks Club and Pleasant Valley Lions Club- especially while dancing with the love of her life, Bob Garcia.
Sarah will be remembered as the Garcia family’s matriarch- a woman of great beauty, strong character and endless energy for her family.
Services will be held Saturday, June 9 at 10:00 at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks in Westlake.
