Senanu Dzifa Sogah

sadness the sudden and untimely passing of their beloved son, father, brother, nephew, grandson, and

relative, Senanu "Sen" Dzifa Sogah. Senanu passed away suddenly on Friday, July 10, 2026, in Nashville,

Tennessee. He was born on September 22, 1975 in Los Angeles, California, to Dotsevi and Monica Sogah.

In 1980, Senanu moved with his parents to Wilmington, Delaware, when his father joined the DuPont

Company. There, he attended Ursuline Academy for his early elementary education, St. Edmond's

Academy for middle school, and Salesianum School through the 10th grade. When the family relocated to

Ithaca, New York, after his father accepted a position as Professor of Chemistry at Cornell University,

Senanu transferred to Ithaca High School, where he graduated in 1993. He later attended both the University

of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and Colorado State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree

in Business Management from Colorado State.

Senanu dedicated his professional career to the insurance industry. He worked for Blue Cross Anthem in

Thousand Oaks, California, and later for The Hartford Insurance Company in Nashville, Tennessee, where

he was respected for his professionalism and commitment.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Senanu excelled in athletics from an early age. He played basketball at St.

Edmond's Academy and football at both Salesianum School and Ithaca High School. His athletic talent

earned him a place on the All-Star Team after Ithaca High School won the football championship during

the 1992–1993 season.

Football remained one of Senanu's greatest passions throughout his life. After moving to Wilmington, he

became a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, a loyalty he carried with pride for the rest of his life. In

college sports, he faithfully supported his beloved UCLA Bruins. His remarkable knowledge of football,

especially player and team statistics, was well known among family and friends. His passion for the game

eventually inspired him and several fellow enthusiasts to launch a football podcast while he was living in

California.

Above all, Senanu will be remembered for the way he touched people's lives. He possessed a warm heart,

a generous spirit, a captivating smile, and an infectious sense of humor that brought joy to those around

him. He was deeply loved by family, friends, colleagues, and everyone privileged to know him. His legacy

of love, compassion, kindness, and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Senanu is survived by his beloved children, Isaiah and Alana; their mother Kathy Sogah; his father, Dotsevi Sogah; his siblings, Dodzie

and Esinam (Esi) Sogah; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended

family members in Ghana and the United States. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Monica

Sogah.

Though his life was cut tragically short, Senanu's memory will remain a source of comfort, inspiration, and

enduring love. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered. The funeral will be on Saturday July

25, 2026 at 10:00 am at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park, Mortuary & Crematorium,
