Sharon was born in Glendive, MT on Sept 5, 1938 to Ruth and Earl Nelson and spent most of her childhood in Billings, Montana. She was a cheerleader at Billings Senior high school and voted “Miss Congeniality”, which is not surprising if you knew her. She attended the University of Montana and was married at age 19 to Don Oliver.
While she always considered Montana as her “home”, they eventually moved to California where they raised their 3 daughters in Westlake Village. She loved being a mother, homemaker and worked as a model, a school photographer, car salesperson and office manager. Sharon got remarried to Don Pryor in 1982, and they enjoyed camping, traveling, playing scrabble, singing, shopping, fine dining and having dinner parties with their friends.
She was a bright, cheerful and loving lady who was always the life of the party! She had a strong will, a deep faith and is flourishing now healthy and free in heaven. Sharon loved being a Nana and just recently became a great grandmother. She was so thrilled to meet and love on her sweet great grand babies.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Donald Pryor, her sister, Loretta MacMillan brother, Jimmy Nelson daughters, Cathie Oliver and Christi Ferren. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Cherie & Scott Ash, her grandson/adopted son, Cory Ferren, her grandson, Nickolas Oliver, her granddaughter, Katie Jo McCarthy (Kyle), her grandson Keaton Ash (Ally) and her great grand babies, Quinn McCarthy and Beckham Ash.
A private family graveside will be held to honor Sharon.
