Shirley Ann Cagle was many things to many people. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Born on April 24, 1933 and passed away in February 22, 2016 in Thousand Oaks, California. She was born and raised in Canton and Mineral City Ohio. She was the second youngest of seven children. She moved to California as a young woman and lived with her older sister Mary and her husband George. She met and married her husband William Wade Cagle and began to raise her family. Shirley’s family was her love and her life. Shirley loved to play bridge, cards, bingo and she particularly enjoyed going to Las Vegas to visit with her sister Jean. Shirley was a loving mother to her daughters Laura, who was her constant companion and care giver during her last few years and Anne, who had an untimely death. Shirley was so very proud of her three grandchildren. Dani, who excels at horsemanship and is attending Fresno State on an equestrian scholarship. Sarah, who is completing her PhD at Ole Miss, and James, who is an officer in the Navy. Shirley was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary, Helen and Irene and her brother Joe; her husband Wade and her daughter Anne. Shirley was many things to many people, but most of all she was loved.
