Born in France, she immigrated to the United States as a teenager. In NYC she met and married her husband, Pierre, moved across the country and settled in southern California, and eventually, Malibu. In the early 70’s they opened a small glass company which became the Malibu Glass & Mirror company of today. Pierre passed away in 1980 but Solange continued to work in the business until her health began to decline in more recent years.
She enjoyed travel, gardening, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. She was small in stature but had a big personality that left a lasting impression. She was greatly loved and will be missed.
A Mass in her honor will be held on Monday, May 2, 4:00, at Our Lady of Malibu Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Michaeljfox.org or PDF.org in Solange’s name.
