She grew up on the westside of Los Angeles with her parents, Harold and Miriam Oleon, her older sisters Karen and Valerie and her younger brother Glenn.
In 1967 Stevie met Rick Marks, and in May 1973, they married. Rick and Stevie were married for 52 years and lived in Westlake Village for over 24 years. She was a devoted and loving mother to Jamie and Kyle. She was a Grammy and Mimi to Carter (10), Taylor (7) and Graham (5), her three grandsons.
Stevie loved to entertain, enjoyed the magic of theater, and soaked up the beauty of life by the Pacific Ocean. As a teenager she spent her summers suntanning and enjoying the beach with her friends. Stevie loved the water and living on Westlake Island for over 20 years was such a gift for her.
Stevie had many friends and always kept up with their lives, as well as those of her siblings and their children. She was known for being a great listener. She enjoyed traveling with Rick and her kids/grandsons, on very memorable vacations. She found great joy in planning her vacations, carefully organizing every detail to ensure a wonderful experience.
Stevie found joy in cooking and choosing loving gifts to celebrate seasons, birthdays, and anniversaries. She had a knack for mailing the perfect card and it was important to her to attend all birthdays, recitals, graduations, the grandsons’ athletic games, and celebrations both near and far. Family get-togethers for holidays and any occasion delighted her, especially when it included her grandchildren.
Stevie took great pride in maintaining a spotless and well-organized home. Her attention to detail and love for order were evident in every corner, ensuring that everything was always in its place– even on the days when her favorite housekeeper came to tidy up.
Our Stevie was a loving, kind, and compassionate woman who will always be in our hearts.
Contributions in her memory may be made to Casa Pacifica in Camarillo CA, in lieu of flowers
