

Steven Byron Kerrigan of Westlake Village, CA passed away on August 22, 2026 at the age of 74. He was born on July 21, 1952 in Los Angeles to Warren and Norma Kerrigan. He grew up in the San Fernando Valley briefly attending James Monroe High School then graduating from Little Falls High in Little Falls NY in 1970.
He developed a lifelong passion for plants, flowers and trees and turned his passion into a distinguished career as a landscape contractor and becoming a certified arborist and joining the ISA (International Society of Arborists) specializing in Oak Trees.
Steve was very active in Simi Youth baseball when his three sons were young and later in life involved in the activities of his two step daughters. In retirement he became an enthusiastic grower of great pumpkins and loved walking his Wheaten dogs.
Steve was an active member of the Westlake Rotary club joining in 2010 and becoming President in 2016 where he dedicated himself to community service and humanitarian programs.
He is preceded in death by his father Warren, mother Norma and son Steven. He is survived by his wife Mary Grey, stepdaughters Catherine Cotten, Jennifer Grey and sons Patrick and Ryan Kerrigan and 7 grandchildren.
Family and friends and invited to attend a memorial service on September 19, 2026 at 10:00 am at the Church of the Epiphany in Oak Park, CA. A private interment will follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Simi Valley.
