God to Steve: Steve, I am making the movie of your life but just can't get the projection focus correct. Would you please come to Heaven and help me?
Steve to God: Okay, be right there. (Present occupation: Chief Projectionist, Heavenly Studios)
What a career! What a life! Steve traveled the world with The Disney Studios, working on major premiers such as The Rock, Pocahontas in the Park, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and so many others. One of Steve's favorite memories was working on Pearl Harbor, where he spent three weeks in Honolulu (tough gig, I know. But someone had to do it!) When it came to premieres, he became laser-focused and only worked with the best in the industry. A proud member of IATSE Local 695, Steve worked with only the best, even becoming the personal projectionist for many studio executives and celebrities.
Steve was a true California native and made everyone smile and laugh, giving exquisite tours to out-of-towners, even those from cold and snowy New England! All were amazed at his knowledge of the California Coast and enjoyed his expertise in citing restaurants, points of interest, etc. No one knew how to give a family tour like Steve - he was AMAZING! Also known as SPAM - Steve Pritchett, Amazing Man. :)
Steve leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 24 years, Suzi Pritchett (known accomplice to many laugh-hard antics); his son, Dan Pritchett (another known accomplice in those antics) and Dan's wife, Heather of Crestline, CA; his daughter Kandy, her husband Tim, and his grandchildren, Hailie and Seth of Riverside, CA. Steve also watched over and loved his nephews, Jeff Pritchett and Brian Pritchett.
Helping him on his journey to Heavenly Studios were his beloved brothers Ben Pritchett and wife Vicky Pritchett, of Eagan, MN; Greg Pritchett of West Covina, CA and Mom, Dottie Williamson, also of West Covina, CA.
Crossing Over - Author Unknown
Oh, please don’t feel guilty
It was just my time to go.
I see you are still feeling sad,
And the tears just seem to flow.
We all come to earth for our lifetime,
And for some it’s not many years
I don’t want you to keep crying
You are shedding so many tears.
I haven’t really left you
Even though it may seem so.
I have just gone to my heavenly home,
And I’m closer to you than you know.
Just believe that when you say
my name, I’m standing next to you,
I know you long to see me,
But there’s nothing I can do.
But I’ll still send you messages
And hope you understand,
That when your time comes to
cross over, I’ll be there
to take your hand.
Suzi to Steve: You'd better come back to get me!!!
