Timothy Lee Triplett, 69, of Thousand Oaks, CA, passed away peacefully on April 26 at Los Robles Hospital. Born in Lenoir, NC, he was the beloved son of Gene and Daphne Triplett.
Tim spent his life as a dedicated father and friend, the kind of man people were lucky to find once in a lifetime. He spent many years coaching youth football; the hundreds of young players he mentored carry his influence with them still. Professionally, Tim was a serial entrepreneur, notably having been recognized with the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1994. He was known for his intensity, his ambition and his readiness to laugh. He is deeply missed for his joyful, gregarious attitude and his calming presence in hard times. His family will strive daily to preserve his enduring legacy of hard work, zeal for life, and stubborn optimism.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert and his wife of over 40 years, Debbi Triplett, with whom we pray he is now happily reunited. He is survived by his son and daughter, their spouses, and his four cherished grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or The Honor Foundation.
