Tory was born on November 18, 1960, in Loveland, Colorado, to Jearold and Judith Langley. As a young girl, Tory loved the outdoors, cherished animals — especially cats — and enjoyed her years as a Campfire Girl. She played the violin and also piano, an instrument which she continued to play throughout her life.
After graduating from Sterling High School, she continued her education at University of Northern Colorado where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. In 1979, she met the love of her life, Bob, and in 1984, she moved to Southern California where she spent several years working in insurance. Tory and Bob were married in 1990 and built a beautiful life together while raising their two children, Lauren and Greg, in Westlake Village, California.
She found great joy in traveling with Bob, golfing, hosting gatherings, and creating cherished family traditions, especially at Christmas. Tory had a childlike thrill in decorating her home with treasured holiday collections gathered over the years, transforming it each season into a warm and festive reflection of her joyful spirit. Among her favorite travel destinations were England, Switzerland and France, whose charm, culture, and countryside — especially the cows — brought her endless happiness.
Tory’s love for animals remained a constant throughout her life. Whether caring for her own pets or simply finding joy being around animals, she had a natural compassion and gentleness that reflected who she was so beautifully. She enjoyed watching General Hospital, listening to country music, participating in aqua exercise classes, and bringing family and friends together for both intimate and large celebrations.
Above all, Tory treasured being a mother and wife. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, and she was instrumental in helping her husband run his business. Whether raising funds for the St. Jude’s auction, attending sporting events and extracurricular activities, or simply being present wherever needed, Tory was always there to support and guide those around her. Her love language was in service to others.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jearold Langley. She is survived by her mother, Judith Langley; her husband, Bob Shamoon; her two children, Lauren Shamoon and Greg Shamoon (Rachel); and her brother, Aaron Langley (Pamela).
