

Warner L. Kimball of Newbury Park, California passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024 at the age of 85. He was born on July 7, 1938 in Rockford, Illinois where he grew up. He graduated from Rockford High School and married his high school sweetheart in 1957 and had 3 children before he was 21. He began college and discovered the world of computer programming which became his life profession. He moved his family to Northridge, California and never looked back. His fourth and last child was born in California.
A lifelong love of the water led him to sailing and eventually sailboat racing. He engaged in competitive racing including local and long distant, including Los Angeles to Diamond Head, Honolulu, Hawaii. He was active in the brass button circuit of the yacht club and became Commodore of Pacific Mariners Yacht Club.
After two previous marriages, he met the love of his life Barbara. They both worked in Information Technology and together obtained their college degrees. They travelled extensively, which they both enjoyed immensely.
After a long career Warner retired. He started Cowboy Action Shooting which his oldest son was interested in. He thoroughly enjoyed the shooting and the friends he made.
Warner is preceded in death by his sons Christopher and Bruce. He is survived by his wife Barbara, and daughters, Julie and Lisa. He has 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
