Werner "Vern" Bernhard Fenzke was born to Richard Fenzke and Clara Lodvickovski on December 12, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois. He passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2019. Vern leaves his wife of 45 years, Sarah, their children Cary (Roni) Fenzke, Susan E. Fenzke, David Fenzke, Susan T. Sharpe, Robert Fenzke, and Russell (Kyla) Fenzke, fifteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, brother Richard Fenzke and sister Rita Oda.
Vern spent his earliest years in Chicago as the youngest of five and attended Lincoln High School where he met Barbara Woodruff. He followed her family to Van Nuys, California. They married in 1954 and started a family in 1960. They moved to Newbury Park in 1961. Barbara passed away in 1966.
Vern and Sarah met on a blind date and married in 1974.
He worked as an electrician at General Motors in Van Nuys and retired after 32 years. He has been working at Colorful Production since 1989.
Vern enjoyed bowling, spending time with family, his dogs, and collecting cars, coins, and old toys. He was am avid Cubs and Bears fan.
