I worked on the same floor as Anh at UCI and was able to chat with him occasionally about I.T. topics since our jobs were very similar. I will always treasure the personalized UCI coffee mug that Anh gave me. It was such a thoughtful gift.

I had the honor of meeting Anh's mother and cousin at his memorial service on Saturday. Nam took the time to sit with me and make me feel comfortable. I enjoyed hearing personal stories about Anh's life and their journey from Vietnam to the USA. I will never forget her kindness towards me on what must have been the most difficult day of her life.

Sending love and prayers to Anh’s family. He had such a kind heart and my daughter still has the cow stuffed animal he bought her when I was pregnant. I am so sad for this loss and wish nothing but comfort and good memories to his family.

I worked with Anh at UCHRI for two years, where he was a helpful and patient collaborator. I will always remember how thoughtful he was. Even when he was very ill, he still always reached out to say "hope you feel better!" when I was out sick with a cold. He had such affection for cute and fuzzy stuffed animals and funny cats on the internet, which was part of his charm and humor. It was always cool to see his enthusiasm for building websites and his skills for analyzing huge bodies of data. His kindness, curiosity, and uniqueness will be missed.

Anh made me a coffee cup with my name on it and I thought it was so creative and thoughtful when I first became an employee in the School of Humanities and shared office space on the same floor as Anh. Will always remember him sharing Vietnamese food when ordering for the floor as well! My heart goes out to his mom!
