My heart is truly broken to know Anthony is no longer with us. My memories with him go far back to our old UCI days. I met Anthony while working at the student center. He was genuine, and always so sincere. My fondest memory is of him bringing me to Gallo’s—a sub sandwich eatery in Corona Del Mar years ago. To this day—the best subway I’ve ever had and every time I drive past it, I’m always reminded of that one time we shared it sitting on the hillside at his house watching the ocean. Anthony, I know it goes without saying. You will be missed dearly by so many. Rest In Peace, friend.

the most genuine, kind soul that i'm lucky to have met in my lifetime. you were always positive, and up for anything, living life to the fullest, taking advantage of every moment.  i'm forever grateful for that recent dinner we shared and how i expressed to you (in vino veritas, hehe) what an amazing person you are. humble, hardworking, a great friend that's always down for anything at anytime. i'm your biggest fan and forever your hype man... cus you're a rare breed and someone needs to brag about you!

you lived in the present and indulge in life's simple pleasures. material possessions didn't matter to you, although you worked hard and deserved everything. instead, we talked about clouds, sunsets, food, cooking  (i'm bummed that i haven't tried your thit kho), music and experiences/trips shared. it's heartbreaking that you're no longer with us, but what an impact you made on so many lives. i honestly don't think i'll meet anyone as pure, positive and loving as you, so thank you for being such a special person in my life. 

One of my fondest discussions with Anthony, was me telling him how I was turned down for a job offer for a position I really wanted. I was disappointed, mad at myself, and just in a panic over not getting this job.  Anthony sits there and just listens to me complain and whine for about a good 20 minutes and adds his own thoughts. He then interrupts me and looks me straight in the eye with the most serious tone "Look you're with me and we're about to eat some really good food, everything will be alright." Anthony knew my personality and disposition well, and knew that that simple comment would put me at ease. And it did. We laughed, talked about our family, tennis, and our vacation/travel plans the rest of the night. It was so simple, yet so comforting to hear him tell me that in only the way Anthony could.
