Missing you every day Brother, you werent one of the "good ones" simply because you're gone now, it's because you truly were. You were one of the best Airman a lot of us had the privilege to work with. It was an honor to share a part of my life with yours at Hanscom.  See you again one day my Friend.

We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Phan Family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and some of these will be dedicated to your loved one.   Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Jason Khai Phan US Air Force Senior Airman.

We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families, friends and others who support our mission.

Going through basic military training is a scary experience for anyone. I was lucky enough to share that experience with Jason Khai Phan. We faced many adversities during that time, but having him there helped me feel calm and collected during the worst of it. He was my friend, a brother to call on. He was always there when you needed him most. He put others above himself no matter what. Who knows where I’d be if it weren’t for him. He positively impacted every life he came into contact with.
And for that we are grateful.
We love you Phan.

Thank you for allowing us the privilege of meeting Phan. I was lucky enough to meet him at Hanscom and deploy with him to Kuwait and in such little time I realized what a great person he was. Thank you for raising such a hardworking, selfless and caring human being. He was always there to lend a helping hand or simply greet you with a big smile. He was truly such a good and humble young man. Even on the tough days, coming across Phan just made the day better because his positivity was so contagious. You are in my thoughts and prayers and Phan will always be in our hearts.

To the Phan Family,

I’m deeply saddened by your loss. I had the privilege of working along side of Senior Airman Phan for about 9 months before I left for my deployment. In those 9 months I got to witness first hand Phan’s hard work and kindness. He made a lasting impression on me. I will carry his memory and think about him every day. Know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I met SrA Jason Phan at Hanscom AFB. One of my favorite memory with Jason was when I was working the main gate and he came through. Jason asked if I needed something and I replied I was hungry but I’ll be alright. Next thing I know, Jason came through the gate and handed me a bag of McDonald’s. Jason was selfless. He would do anything for his friends/teammates. Jason was the light at the end of the tunnel.  He had such a contagious positive personality. He impacted everyone he came in contact with. Jason, I love ya lil bro. Til Valhalla brother. 

All I ever wanted to do was see you be the best you could be and protect you from the harsher realities of being in the military and even life in America. I felt a sense of brotherhood between us from the time we sat down and watched Glory Hounds together so that you could understand how serious being K-9 can be. I attached a screenshot of one of our last conversations before you left. I feel it really captures the relationship you and I shared. Nicole and I miss you so much bro. Tôi yêu bạn, Khai.

Phan family,
We’re at a loss here. Our “sorry’s” go beyond imaginable, but I am so sorry for your loss. Phan was just the life of every party, kind hearted, and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He never hesitated to help anyone out. He had come over to watch our dogs a few small handful of times and absolutely LOVED it. He was so funny, full of spirit and the kind of person you would want to be around, all of the time. He was always so positive, about everything, any time we had talked. He is missed beyond measure and beyond words. My family has kept yours in our thoughts and will always continue to do so. We miss you here, Phan! So much.

I am so sorry for your loss. Phan was an amazing person and wonderful friend. I had the honor of knowing him in tech school and the opportunity to watch him grow in this career field and in life. He had a brightness and a warmth that was honestly just contagious and he will be missed by myself, my husband and everyone else who was lucky enough to know him.

My sympathy, sorrow, and condolences are with you. I've had difficulty sleeping and living because of your loss, I had the honor of training, supervising, and befriending your son. He was an incredible human being, he listened carefully, he was always prompt, he always gave forth the best effort, he was everything a Supervisor could wish for. He was the last person I got to see before departing Hanscom Air Force Base at my home. I gave him some of my personal belongings for free to show my appreciation for being such an amazing Airman and a first class human being. I shook his hand long and hard before leaving Massachusetts permanently, a memory I will cherish forever.
