David was a rare gem that's for sure. I worked with David since I got hired in 2012. When I was sent home remotely, he helped me with my equipment and even named my profile screen "J-Dub". I'll never forget all the mornings when I had computer issues, I would call or message him and he would say "Jessica, its 7am let me at least drink my coffee first lol". And then immediately assist me in whatever I needed, no questions asked. He was always there to help and never turned away from you. He was so kind and smart with such a big sense of humor. I will cherish all the years and memories with him. Heaven gained an angel. I will miss you, David. Sending my love and condolences to all of his friends, family and fellow coworkers.

I met David at work many years ago ( At CPS) Initially, he and i had a cordial work relationship. One thing i noticed about him was he was always so cool, calm, respectful and helpful. 

Eventually, we discovered we had something in common. We are both "sneaker heads" 

David is responsible for me earning thousands of dollars selling shoes as a side hustle. He literally showed me the ropes and never asked me for ANYTHING in return - not a dime!

I spoke with him while he was in the hospital and tried to encourage him to fight, which I'm sure he did. One of his last text to me literally reads "I said F it and picked up some heat while I'm down and out" (He included pictures  of a couple pairs of Jordan 1's highs and lows)

Its very sad to read back over our text - but its comforting to know he is no longer in trememdous pain. 

David was a genuinely cool guy. I can still see his face popping around the corner where my cubicle was to tell me about a shoe drop that was upcoming.  Thats how i will remember him. Being happy and helpful to others and not expecting anything in return. He is a rare breed. 

Im sure he will be missed by many. My condolences to his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace.🙏🏽

I'm heartbroken to hear about David's passing. He was so much fun to talk to, especially when we’d dive deep into our shared love for collectibles and comics. At one point, he was handling the workload of many, which reminded me of a scene in Iron Man, and I began to recite a quote and  replaced "Tony's " name to "David" - he laughed so hard!  Those moments of geeking out together and his infectious laughter are memories I’ll always cherish. He was truly one of a kind, and he’ll be deeply missed.  Rest in Peace.

I will never forget our chats.  Whether I was in VA or CA, you were always willing to assist without hesitation.  You routinely made the time to pop over and visit when I was in town.  Your humor and genuine thoughtfulness will not be forgotten.   I have my Maneki-neko on the front table at home, and he waves in the sunlight creating smiles.

I am ever grateful I was able to make the trek to visit you in December.  Through all your adversity, you remained strong, shared and asked how I was doing.  I am lifting your father and the rest of your family with their broken hearts.  

I know you are now pain free, watching over all and giving a gentle nod.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Dave. He was more than a colleague; he was a friend who brought kindness, humor, and energy into every interaction with him. Dave loved buying and trading collectibles, NFTs, and Crypto. Anything related to technology would get him excited, always looking forward to what was around the corner.  He loved to joke and had a great sense of humor, always ready with a bit of sarcasm and just as quick to take it in stride. That friendly back-and-forth made every day a little more fun and brighter. He was a stand-up guy who genuinely cared about others, always willing to do you little favors by troubleshooting a tech issue or sharing his knowledge to help you out. Dave was my friend, and he will always hold a place in my heart and mind. My love and prayers go out to his family and all the friends who were lucky enough to know him. Dave, I will see you on the other side my friend!

Rest in Peace David. Working with him was truly a privilege. He was always so helpful, kind, and a pleasure to be around. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of knowing David throughout our many years with CPS and considered him a friend. He was kind, generous, and a positive person who would go above and beyond for his friends. I'll miss our in-side jokes, chats about VeVe, Comic Con, or more serious subjects including life goals. I'll remember his bright smile and the way he would nod to say "hi" as he passed by. I had the pleasure of hiring David into the Data Entry department over two decades ago.  He remained in Data Entry while pursuing his education and was later promoted to a Junior IT role upon graduation. I have had the privilege of working alongside David since the beginning of his career at CPS.
