Albert Costa

Albert “Al” Costa, 97 years old, affectionately known to everyone as “Pop” a longtime resident of River Vale, NJ, passed away on October 17, 2012. Born in Glen Falls, NY, he resided in the Bronx before moving to River Vale. Albert retired many years ago as a bellman at the Hotel Westbury where he worked for 40+ years. He was a devoted member of the River Vale Senior Friends and a huge Yankee fan. Albert was predeceased by his beloved wife, Stella (Capetanos) Costa in 2006. He is survived by his loving children, Lorraine Waldes and her husband Charles and Georgette Maggi; his cherished grandchildren, Anthony Kotis and his wife Elizabeth, Stephanie Fiorentino and her husband Andrew and Jocelyn Waldes; and his dearest great grandson, Alexander Fiorentino. Visiting hours are on Sunday October 21, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Becker Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday October 22, 2012 at 10am at the funeral home with the interment to follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to the River Vale Volunteer Ambulance Corps. in his memory.
