Alexander Michael Dellabella

DELLA BELLA, Alexander , “Al”, 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, December 6, 2014. Beloved husband of Mary Lou (nee Davies). Devoted father of Alexander M. Della Bella, III, DMD, Chris Della Bella, Beth Della Bella and Drew Della Bella. Dear brother of Sandra Morabito. Loving grandfather of Allison, Christopher, Jordon, Amanda, Matthew and Andrew. Born in Teaneck, he lived in Elmwood Park before moving to Woodcliff Lake 45 years ago. A graduate of Rutgers College of Pharmacy, Al was a devoted and well respected Head Pharmacist of Shop-Rite, Hillsdale for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Montvale and a lifelong NY Ranger and NY Yankees fan. Al took immense pride in the upkeep of his beautiful home and garden and enjoyed many years of automobile maintenance for family and friends. Visitation at the Becker Funeral Home on Tuesday 7-9 pm and Wednesday 3-5 pm with a service to be held during the afternoon visitation hours. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio St., Suite 304, Chicago, IL 60611, in his memory.
