Anthony Assante

ASSANTE, Anthony, 82, of Kennebunk, ME, formerly of Emerson, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. He was born in the Bronx, NY to Anthony and Giovanni Assante. Beloved husband of the late Laura S. Assante (nee Danubio). Devoted father of Joan Assante Thompson and her husband Richard Sr., and Anthony Assante, Jr. Loving grandfather of Lauren, Susanne, Lisa, Anthony and Vincent Assante; Leanne, Jamie, Richard Jr., Laura and Robert Thompson. Him and his beloved wife founded "Assante Ravioli Co.", an all time favorite of many Emerson, NJ residents and other surrounding communities. After 35 years of working for Colonial Sand & Stone in New York City, he pursued other interests which included opening a Minute Man Press print shop in Tenafly, NJ. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Monday, June 3, 2-4 and 7-9PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Anthony’s life and faith will be on Tuesday, June 4 at R. C. Church of the Assumption, Emerson, NJ at 9:30AM. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY. Donations may be made in Anthony's name to the American Kidney Foundtion.
