

Santaniello, Anthony Frank, April 14, 1925 to December 10, 2016. Anthony Santaniello of the Township of Washington, formerly of Woodcliff Lake, died December 10 with his wife by his side. Beloved husband and father, and loving grandfather, he is survived by Jacqueline Santaniello, née Halitsky, his wife of 52 years; his daughters, Gloria McPherson of Provincetown, MA, Elise James of River Edge, NJ, and Joelle Resnick and her husband Jonathan Resnick of Rye, NY; his grandchildren, Peter, Anna , Annelise, Jacob and Eli; his sister Sarah Ulak, of Trenton, NJ, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Concetta Santaniello, and his siblings Gloria McLaughlin, Vincent Santaniello and Beatrice Smith. He graduated from Seton Hall University, where he was named to the Order of the Cross and Crescent, Seton Hall's highest honor. He obtained his MS at Temple University. He was a member of Sigma Xi, the National Honorary Scientific Research Society, and named to Who's Who in American Science. He started his career at the Thiokol Chemical Corporation in Trenton, and has more than a dozen patents to his name. Before retiring in 2000, he was Director of Research and Development at Polyurethane Specialty Company in Lyndhurst. His long and fruitful life touched many, and his strength, intelligence and humor will be missed by all. The family will receive visitors at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood on Wednesday, December 14 from 5 pm to 8 pm. Private interment December 15, St. Mary's Cemetery, Trenton.
