Arthur R. Kennedy Jr.

Arthur R. Kennedy, Jr.,77, of Teaneck, NJ, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Eleanor (nee Lyendecker) and Arthur R. Kennedy, Sr. He lived in Blauvelt, NY for 18 years, then in River Vale, NJ for 26 years before moving to Teaneck. He graduated from Fordham University's College of Business Administration and went on to a career in sales and marketing. He spent much of his professional life as the owner and operator of Arthur Kennedy Associates, a manufacturer’s representative in the office furnishings industry. Arthur was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy. He loved reading, traveling and was an avid gardener and loyal New York Jets fan. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, dedication to his work, his sense of humor and for the twinkle in his eye. Beloved husband of 52 years to Eileen Kennedy (nee Drew). Loving father of Susan Kennedy, Arthur Kennedy, III and his wife Caridad, Joanne Kennedy and her husband William Bunker, and Karen Kennedy. Cherished grandfather of Jessica Kennedy, Allison Bunker, Sarah Bunker, and Arthur Aidan Kennedy. Dear brother of Patricia Tonna and her husband Edgar, Eleanor Gallagher, and Donald Kennedy and his wife Mary Angela and beloved Uncle Artie to many nieces and nephews.. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Park Ridge on Thursday at 11 AM. Cremation Private.
