Bea married the love of her life, Edward Rausenberger, on October 28, 1950. Together, Bea and Ed built a life centered around family and shared adventures. They were avid boaters and spent many memorable summers cruising the waterways of the Northeast.
After retirement, Bea and Ed moved to Bird Key in Sarasota, Florida, where they enjoyed many wonderful years together in the warm Florida sun. Following Ed’s passing on August 1, 1994, Bea eventually returned to New Jersey to be closer to her children, grandchildren, and the growing family that meant so much to her.
Bea was the proud mother of seven children: Debbie Herrera and her husband, Alex, of Stuart, Florida; Diane Dunleavy, who predeceased her; Gary Rausenberger and his wife, Kathy, of Newburgh, New York; Donna Ax and her husband, Glen, of Emerson, New Jersey; Laurie Clark of Washington Township, New Jersey; Karl Rausenberger and his wife, Laura, of Port St. Lucie, Florida; and Beatrice “Tricie” Kohut and her husband, Mike, of Summerland Key, Florida.
Affectionately known as “Nannie,” Bea was grandmother to 16 grandchildren, and as “Grand Nannie,” she delighted in an extraordinary 34 great-grandchildren.
Bea is also survived by her brother, Bill Noonan, and his wife, Gerry, of Hackensack, New Jersey.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward, and her daughter, Diane.
Bea’s 97 years were filled with family, travel, summers on the water, years beneath the Florida sun, and, above all, the generations of family she and Ed began together. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched.
