Bill was born in Manhattan to George and Lucreta (Chiacu). He leaves behind his brother Richard, sister Linda Kailas, niece Elisa Kailas and many loving friends and cousins. He taught elementary school in the Bergenfield New Jersey public school system. He was a dedicated, creative, inspiring, and well-loved teacher. Those same attributes carried over into his entire life. He was very curious about a multitude of subjects including health, nutrition, history (especially American), politics and science. He also loved music and baseball. He was an avid reader and said that education was a lifelong pursuit. He always thought about the other person’s needs and offered help and suggestions. He was a generous, spiritual, and kindhearted human being. He will be greatly missed by those near and dear to him.
