Brian Becker, 56, entered peacefully into eternal life surrounded by loved ones. Brian left a legacy of love from a life well lived.
Born to Samuel and Margherita Ponce in Teaneck NJ, Brian was the youngest of three children. From the start, Brian was an achiever. A graduate of Bergenfield High School, he was a wrestler and ran track and field. He collected medals but none compared to the lifelong friends he made there. He graduated University of Hartford and had a thriving career in finance, most currently as VP for JP Morgan Private Client Advisor.
He was always seeking the finer things and lived fully. He loved fine clothes, fine dining, fine cars and had an impeccable sense of style. He was an avid collector who loved estate sales, collectibles and antiques. He couldn't pass up a good race and a good time - from the races at Saratoga or Kentucky Derby, weekend jaunts to the islands, Casinos and the like. He enjoyed life and excitement and made friends easily. He loved biking with friends and even recently hit the ski slopes. Brian indulged in watching a good game, preferably from a box seat with a cigar, scotch and good friends.
His sparkling blue eyes and contagious smile were his hallmark and won many a heart. But none compare to his devoted wife Angela, the love of his life, and his cherished daughter Sofia. He delighted in Sofia’s sense of adventure. He was the dad in the front row and #1 fan for every play, soccer game, concert and event throughout her childhood. He had an affinity for music, french horn in his youth and playing the baby grand or listening to Musicals with Sofia.
Brian joins his parents and sister Riva in rest. He is survived by his devoted wife Angela Francesca (Arcuri) and cherished daughter Sofia Elizabeth, brother Clifford (Matthew), mother-in-law Maria Arcuri and niece Blair. He is loving brother-in-law (and Uncle) to Anthony and Angela Arcuri (Nicholas, Rachel, Mark), Sal and Alex Arcuri (Salvatore, Anna, Tomas), Robert & Jen Arcuri (Danielle, Isabella and Abigail), Jo and Roger Griffith (James, Christine, John) and Richie Arcuri.
Brian always aimed high. He was ALL IN and lived his life that way. He will be dearly missed by all who were graced to share in his life.
