Carol Pavlik

Carol Pavlik, 70, of River Vale, NJ, passed away on Monday April 7, 2025. Carol was born on May 14, 1954, in Levittown NY, to the late John and Theresa Cancellieri. She was raised in Fairview NJ, where she attended the Academy of Lady of Grace and later Lincoln School – Fairview, where she met the love of her life, Kenneth Pavlik. Carol and Kenneth began dating at 15 years old and were married on March 5, 1978. After graduating high school, Carol pursued a career in dentistry, attending the Lyons Institute of Technology, becoming a Dental Assistant and specialized in Dental Radiology. They eventually settled in River Vale, NJ, where they raised their family. Carol was a member of the Hawthorne Gospel Church, where she attended Women’s Bible Study and was an active part of the church community. She was deeply committed to her faith and found great joy in her involvement there. Carol had a gift for making her home a special place for all who entered by decorating and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere where family and friends gathered to share love, laughter, and cherished memories. Carol was a devoted mother to Sean and his wife Sonja, and Christian and his wife Jessica, a cherished grandmother to Luca, Mattea, Francesca, Dean, Oliver, and Lincoln. She was an exceptional cook, known for hosting family Sunday dinners and the traditional Italian Christmas Eve celebration at their home, a time when family and friends gathered together to create lasting memories. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth, and her siblings: sisters Candida Jovan, Marie Salvatto, and brothers John and Dino Cancellieri. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1- 5 pm at Becker Funeral Home, Westwood. Prayer Service will be held on Monday at 10 am at Becker Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park Clifton.
