Carol Joyce Tropea

TROPEA, Carol Joyce, (nee: Kaltenmeier) 78, of Hillsdale, NJ, formerly of Fort Lee/Bogota, NJ, passed away on Saturday, December 26th, 2020. Carol is survived by her children Salvatore, and his wife Krista, Christine Tropea-Felekos and her husband James, Robert and his wife Patricia, as well as her grandchildren Julian, Sebastian, Robert and Daniel. She is predeceased by her husband Sebastian and son Ronald.

She was an Educator in Madonna Catholic School Archdiocese for 10 years and in the Fort Lee Public School District for 32 years, which during that time, Carol served as a dedicated Officer of the Fort Lee Education Association for many years. She touched so many lives, young and old throughout her career and she continued to mentor and support her fellow Educators/Colleagues after her retirement in 2016. Carol loved to travel with her family and friends.

The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ on Monday, January 4th from 3pm-8pm. A Mass celebrating Carol's life and faith will be held at Our Lady Mother of The Church R.C. in Woodcliff Lake, NJ on Tuesday, January 5th at 10AM with private cremation to follow. Memorial contributions can be made in Carol's name to St. Jude’s Children’s Foundation at Stjude.Org/Donate
