At lunch break during grade school at OLV, Charlie came through the kitchen with our son Tom. Charlie had a rash. Of course, I said you have a rash, what happened. Stung by a bee, he said, just before
we left school. I told him to hustle home. I called his mother Ann and told her to forget lunch, take him to the ER because he was having a reaction. She called later to say he could have died. He was going into shock by the time they got to the ER. My regret now is that his life could not be saved again. Seeing the photos of his wife, his children, his friends, and him with his cheery smile shows
that he went from bee sting to a full life. Good going, Charlie.

Charlie is the personification of an uninterruptable source of power! He had the strength and courage to drive through rough times. He was always willing to go the extra mile and bend over backwards to help a friend. Charlie is a beautiful soul, with a brilliant mind, and an amazing work ethic...You have been taken from us far too soon and we will deeply miss you. We were all blessed to get to know you and were inspired by the love and dedication you brought to us. You will not be forgotten, and we look forward to being together again in heaven.

Worked with Charlie all over the world. No matter how far away or for how long we were traveling, he always spoke of the family plans he had waiting for him when he went back; Going out on Motorcycles or dirt bikes or at the beach with his family, Charlie made it clear his family was his driving motivation to everything.

I wish you all peace with your memories of Charlie, and the close comfort of others who other's who love him.

More than a mentor you were a friend who always gave 1000%. It didn't matter how tired you were or how much work there was to be done, you never complaint and never stopped until the task was done. I can always count on you for technical expertise or when I needed any advise in my life. I remember going to field services with you and the plan was always to get the job done as soon as possible to get back to our families. Thank you for all the lessons you gave me in my career and especially in my personal life.

Sister Elizabeth called me today to let me know about Charlie's death. Charlie and I go back a long way together, a long way! I was a weekend assistant priest at Our Lady of Victories in the 1980's. Charlie and I shared the same first name, and the same sense of humor! I am so glad that I got to know Charlie, his parents, his wife and family along the course of my life. There are good people we meet in life, and there are great people we meet in life. Charlie is one of the great people!

Gwynne, please know that I will remember Charlie in my prayers, and you and the whole family as well.

Because of the Resurrection of Jesus, we know this is not the end and we will see Charlie again for sure.

My Condolances to
Mrs Barilla and Charlie's Children
I had never met them personally during my 20 years working with Charlie at Technology Dynamics.
1.A high level engineer with an expansive knowledge in AC Power Technology.
2. A take action attitude to solve problems ASAP was of great benefit to the MEI operation
3. In many conversations with Charlie about work problems , assignments, customers, during our 20 years, never heard a single compliant from him.
He will be missed by many !!!
