

Charles LaMonte, of Cape May, NJ formerly of Paramus, NJ, passed away on Thursday, December 8th, 2022. Born in New York City, Charles lived in New Jersey for over 30 years; in Cape May, NJ since 1988. He served in the U.S. Navy Air Force during the Korean War, specializing in anti-submarine warfare. Before retiring in 1994, he was a Director for UST Inc., a Fortune 200 company headquartered in Greenwich, CT. The responsibilities granted to him were both national and international markets.
Charles was a long-standing member of The Merchants And Salesmen's Club of Greater New York, Inc., The Cape May Marlin & Tuna Club, The Villas Fishing Club Inc., The Veterans Of Foreign Wars Post #386 and Moose Lodge #1054 of Cape May, NJ. He was a past president of The Tranquility Homeowners Association and served on the Cape May Board of Registry & Elections. He was a member of St. John Neumann Of God R.C. Church in Cape May, NJ.
Charles was a beloved husband of the late Eleanor (nee Sanfilippo); devoted father of Steven, Marie Henriquez, Karen Kuper and Bruce as well as a loving grandfather of 13.
The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Monday, December 12th from 2-4 and 7-9PM. A Mass celebrating Charles' life and faith will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church in Township of Washington, NJ on Tuesday, December 13th at 10AM with Interment to follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ.
