Pete’s wonderful demeanor drew the shyest of people in and brought out the best in us. Always a wonderful conversationalist, kind and encouraging, Pete had a captivating sparkle in his eyes when relating a story to you.

Though we’ve enjoyed the pleasure of Pete’s company throughout the years we will remember him from our last visit together December 2014. He and Sally casually popped over one Saturday for 5 minutes and ended up staying an hour. We drank coffee, ate Christmas cookies, and as always with Pete – laughed until our sides hurt.

Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to Sally and the extended family with our wish that cherished memories of Pete and his life here on earth live on in your hearts for eternity. God bless and keep you all as you journey forward.

For the family,
Pete was a great man. Kind and yet strong. Always willing to help . Sally, Pete's wife is just the same. Pete gave me such good advice always through some of the most difficult times in my life. He will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to the entire family, especially Sally who I pray will muster the courage and strength to get through this most difficult time.

For David Tuttle Peterson, Jr:

When I met Mr. Peterson, through his son Dave, my classmate, I was impressed by his Hollywood good looks which he passed to his children. He was tall and looked in great physical shape at a time in my life when I looked for inspiration from the men in my life.

To match his physical prowess was a quiet and respectful demeanor of those that he was around. I remember that the Dad’s of my teammates and me would gather on the top bench of the bleachers at our football games and stand and cheer us on through good and bad. Many a time I would look into the stands, looking for encouragement from my Dad, and seeing all of them together would empower me forward.

Together, Mr. and Mrs. Peterson were a very handsome couple and were extremely supportive of their kids as well as their teammates and all the sports that they were involved.

My condolences to Mrs. Peterson, Dave, Craig, and the extended family and I want to share with them that Mr. Peterson was a respected man, a man’s man, especially by me even though our encounters were brief. As you know, you have been blessed by God to have known him and created through him and I pray for strength and comfort for all. May God bless you mightily during this time.
