

Daysi Olivia Jineste, 82, of Englewood, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026. Born on October 29, 1943, she lived a vibrant and fulfilling life marked by her deep faith, love for her family, and passion for the world around her. Daysi is survived by her son John Rodriguez and his wife Pilar; her daughter Karla Navarro and her husband Marcos; her beloved grandchildren Rosiebel, Cory, Damian, Jason, Gia, Sharlotte, Pepito, Nicki, & Fayth; and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Marina and many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. She was predeceased by her parents John and Maria Geneste; her sister Luz Cruzado & niece Josephine Rivera. A devout Christian and a woman of unwavering faith, Daysi was the matriarch of her family. She was known for selflessness, generosity, and boundless love. Her family was her greatest pride, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to their happiness and well-being. Daysi dedicated many years to her career as a travel agent, a role that allowed her to explore her love for travel and experience the beauty of the world firsthand. She was also a talented artist who expressed herself through painting, ceramics, and decorating. Daysi found joy in baking, cooking, gardening and hosting lively gatherings, and dancing. A lover of all movies she cherished time spent connecting and talking with others. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Becker Funeral Home in Westwood. A prayer service will begin at 6:00 pm. Daysi’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
