After being born and raised in Queens, NY, Dina married her husband, Andy, in 1994. Together, they moved to Jericho, Long Island NY where she gave birth to her two daughters, Melissa and Rebecca who were the center of her world.
After several years living in Long Island, they decided to move to New City, NY in Rockland County where she raised her daughters for 22 years before selling their home. After selling their home and living in NYC for a short time, they built their dream home in Lewes, Delaware hoping that one day they would live there full time while taking an apartment in Englewood, NJ during her treatments.
Dina was so much more than a loving wife and a devoted mother. She was a very sweet, loving, fun and beautiful person who people fell in love with immediately because she treated everyone with kindness and respect. Her humor made everyone laugh until their bellies hurt, her cooking made everyone fight over who could have the last bite, her house was always the envy of any guest due to it being impeccably clean, and her dance moves had anyone rush to their feet to join her.
Besides her husband and two daughters, Dina is survived by her three siblings, Meralda, Joe, and John, their spouses, Joe and Annamarie, her nephews, her nieces (including those through marriage), cousins who were like siblings, her Aunt, and Andy’s brother, Jeff, and his wife, Leighann. Family meant everything to her and the love she gave to each one of them knew no bounds. Specifically, her sister, Meralda, was as close to Dina as anyone could be. Dina also leaves behind Melissa's husband, Jared, who’s wedding she was so grateful to attend on June 7th, 2026.
Dina made a countless number of friends from childhood and over the years. From her time in Queens, Long Island, Rockland County and a host of new friends in Lewes Delaware, she touched the hearts of many. There are just too many of them to list, but she cared and loved them all. Whether it was a phone call or a visit in hospice, each friend brought her comfort even during difficult times.
Dina always gave to others. Whether it was through an incredible meal, to be a listening ear, or a shoulder to cry on, she thought of everyone else before herself. A testament to this was when she started her own program of helping college students in the performing arts to be accepted into various college programs after she was successful in guiding her 2 daughters down that path. She helped so many people, children, young adults and parents which came as no surprise with the incredible woman she was.
While she is no longer with us, we find comfort knowing that she is reunited with her own loving mother, Antionette, in Heaven.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 15th, 2026 from 4pm - 6pm and 7pm - 9pm at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675 (201)664-0292.
