BENNINGTON, Douglas Rex, 81, of Old Tappan, NJ, died on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Beloved husband of Sandra Bennington. Devoted father of Neal Bennington of Old Tappan, NJ, and Ned and Erin Bennington (daughter-in-law) of Lincoln Park, NJ and Grandad to Adelyn and Colton. Dear brother of Sherry Bennington of Scranton, PA. Douglas was a Social Studies Supervisor at Bergenfield High School for over 33 years. He served with pride in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 to 1956. He was a member of the National Railway Historical Society, as well as an avid baseball and film enthusiast. Contributions may be made to The Center for Food Action (Englewood) or The Community Church in Harrington Park. The family will receive friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8PM. Service at Community Church of Harrington Park on Saturday at 11AM.
