She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Peter Kearney. Devoted mother of Peter Paul Kearney and his wife Eileen of Orangeburg, NY and the late Bernard F. Kearney. Dear sister of Carmel Mertens and the late Willie, May, Anna, Desmond and Bernadette. Loving grandmother of Brian Kearney and his wife Taryn, Shannon Kearney, and Kevin Kearney and his service dog Andrew VI.
Dympna was born in Belturbert, County Cavan, Ireland on May 25, 1932. She came to the United States by ship in November, 1954.
The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Friday from 3-7 PM. Funeral Liturgy at Church of St. Andrew, Westwood, NJ on Saturday at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Cemetery of The Ascension, Airmont, NY.
